These days we come across lot of companies offering disinfectants just like sanitizers we have not heard about.Probably all we were aware of using Lizol and Dettol for our domestic usage which was perfectly fine.
However in the current scenario where we all want our homes and offices sanatised,just wanted to guide you through with the best of my knowledge to that you choose right Services and products for yourself.
Firstly sanatisation is a continuous process ,so will have to repeat it several times a day,it is advisable to get it thoroughly done by agency at first and maintain in throughout.Also it is mandatory the areas to be Pre cleaned for more effectiveness of chemicals.
Types of Disinfectant-
1.Soap

2.Alcohols 60-90% ethyl or isopropyl alcohol/denatured ethyl alcohol

3.Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (‘QUATs’)

4.Sodium Hypochlorite (‘bleach’)

5.Phenolic

6.Aldehydes (to be used only for environmental and/or equipment disinfection as per product contents)

7.Hydrogen Peroxide (to be used only as an antiseptic)

8.Chlorine and Chlorine Compounds:- (in order of preference)

Out of these first two are widely used as santiser but cannot be used for Cleaning purposes.
Now the third one is really popular and widely used in hospital.Diversey with its product name Virex II 256 is most commonly used.The dilution is 4 ml in a liter of water with the contact time of 5 mins(it takes 5 mins to kill the Viruses and Bacteria).There are many different brands offering same salts.You can always check the salts and contact time.

Type 4 which is highly recommended by MHA is very strong bleach and its important to use correct dilution.Which is 1 Percent dilution.Personally not recommended for office and home as tendency to spoil the surface.But okay to use in out areas.

Type 5 and 6 are either not effective or not recommended in any guidelines so not too sure.
Type 7 and 8 Can be used and are really effective.Again Diversey with the brand name of Oxivir is producing it from more than decade and approved by EPA.Similarly chlorine can be used in food preparation areas as other chemicals are not food safe.

Vinegar, tea tree oil, and other natural products are not recommended for fighting coronaviruses.May be okay till Influeza but not this time.
